Hi there 👋, I'm Bernardo Borges Sandoval

I'm a software developer with experience on Physical Design (Mainly OpenROAD) as well as a researcher with a background on soft errors.

Academic Formation

  • I'm a currently a Master Student at UFSC
  • I'm a Computer Sciente Bachelor at UFSC
  • I'm an Electronics Technician graduated at IFSC

Work Experience

  • I've worked part time as a software developer on the OpenROAD Project for a year, with emphasis on the Pin Access step of Detailed Routing.
  • I'm currently an intern at IMEC working on enabling the N2 PDK on the OS OpenROAD flow.

Scientific Acomplishments

  • I'm currently doing research in EDA about soft errors under the orientation of Cristina Meinhardt and have published cientific papers on conferences and journals on the subject.

  • I have developed Quasar an OS tool used to characterize electrical cells and circuits regarding radiation robustness.

  • I've won second place on CADAthlon Brazil in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

  • I've won a national gold medal for the Brazilian Physics Olympiad for public schools in 2016 and silver medal for the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for public schools in 2017.
