The config script requires the SimpleITK version and repository. The DESCRIPTION file also requires the SimpleITK version (mandatory field). Due to information duplication and independent updates of both files they diverged. This commit synchronizes the versioning information. As the remotes module starts by reading the DESCRIPTION file, that is where we maintain and update the versioning information. The configure script extracts the relevant information from the DESCRIPTION file.
