i also sometimes upload stuff to my own domains, wonder if i should support that at all... via flag or config perhaps. mostly thinking out loud here. i'll do a proper review at some point, likely next week.

I agree with flag/confg/both. Perhaps have a command to add a domain to a whitelist config.
I think a good UX when viewing an issue could be to show a hint/instruction on how to allow specific domains, where a user can copy-paste a command from the hint and be on their way.
