Description
Before You Report
- I have searched for existing reports of this bug, and this bug report is unique.
Version
1.1.5
Description
So when you cause a very niche situation of causing a player to be parented to a rotating waypoint, whilst faking the bounds of that waypoint to 0 to all other clients, the person being rotated by the waypoint will see anyone else as rotating slightly before snapping back to their normal rotation
To Reproduce
- Create a waypoint that envelops 2 clients
- Fake its bounds to 0,0,0 for the other client that isnt you
- Cause the waypoint to rotate somehow (continuously with a coroutine is easiest)
- Observe other client doing the weird snapping thing
Expected Behavior
I expect the other client not affected by the waypoint to just stand their as if the waypoint wasn't there, that way I can rotate a target player without compromising their immersion
Additional Information
Here's a video describing the whole thing: https://youtu.be/ipuzxvYqU7o
A major thing to note is that this entire bug is client side, clearly something is happening on the client rotating with the waypoint, receiving data, which should indicate not to rotate the player, yet still does rotate the player
